Preservation
Month is a nationally celebrated tradition for
many years. Vision Versailles 2000+ will be celebrating this specifically
the week of May
7-11, 2007. During this week, visitors and community
members are invited to come downtown and observe the historic buildings
on Main St . This is the perfect time to pick up a Historic Tour
guide located at the Woodford County Historical Society, the Chamber
of Commerce, or the Main St office and learn about Versailles '
past. Guided tours will be available during this week on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday at 1pm and 3pm . Monday's tours will focus
on Morgan St and will begin at City Hall. Wednesday's tours will
focus on Rose Hill and will begin at Kessler's Garden Deli. Friday's
tours will focus on Main St and will begin at Daisy Girls. Come
enjoy the rich history with us!
